Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical support as a Surgical Process Tech, ensuring the safe and efficient preparation, cleaning, and turnover of surgical rooms. This role involves patient transport, heavy lifting, and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a sterile and equipped environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and clean surgical rooms, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
• Transport patients safely to and from surgical areas, following all safety guidelines.
• Lift and move heavy equipment and supplies as required to support surgical procedures.
• Turn over operating rooms efficiently between cases to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure the readiness of supplies and instruments.
• Follow facility policies regarding patient safety, equipment handling, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; active BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Must hold a valid Ohio license; compact licenses accepted for starts in 2023 onward.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and transport patients safely.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
• References from recent supervisors or managers in relevant healthcare roles required.
