Multi‑Site Assistant Community Director | Briarstone & Bellamonte Apartments (Tacoma, WA) Founded in Bellevue, Washington in 1987, American Property Management is a leader in multifamily community management with over 5,500 units under management. We leverage modern technology and AI tools to automate routine work and support our teams in delivering high‑impact, human‑centred service. Position Overview Schedule – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; flexibility may be required to meet company needs. On‑site requirement – physical presence at the job location during scheduled hours. Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting work; current residents are not considered for this position. Property information – Briarstone, a 157‑unit garden‑style community built in 1993, and Bellamonte, a 120‑unit garden‑style community built in 1991. Compensation package – pay $31 to $34 per hour, monthly leasing bonuses, 25% live‑on‑site discount, competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits (Employer pays 85% of premiums), 401(k) contribution with a company match, paid sick leave (1.33 h per 30 h worked, ~11 days), paid vacation starting at two weeks, 11 paid holidays with 2 personal holidays of your choice. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of property‑management experience with at least 1 year as an assistant, or 3+ years of leasing/property‑management experience within the past 10 years. Experience in Class A and/or Class B communities. Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws, landlord‑tenant laws, and ADA laws. Customer‑service experience. Onesite and/or Knock experience preferred. High‑school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license required. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficient communication and teamwork abilities. Positive outlook and collaborative team approach. Responsibility and pride in work. Fluency in English with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Your Role Connect with prospects via email, phone, and in‑person appointments, and conduct virtual or in‑person unit tours. Assist residents, build rapport, and help the community feel like home. Address resident issues and facilitate healthy resident relations. Research and forecast market trends, prepare for upcoming trends, and brainstorm creative ideas for community growth. Contribute to property operations by preparing reports for the Community Director. Organize resident events that meet APM’s quality standards. Manage the leasing and renewal process, handle transactions, collect required information, and keep records accurate and organized. Responsibilities above are not all‑inclusive.
