Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, tailoring your approach based on individual client needs.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans incorporating interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and available treatment options, fostering understanding and self-care practices.

• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the highest quality of care.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals for coordinated, integrated client care.

• Stay updated on the latest mood disorder research and treatment strategies, implementing evidence-based practices in your therapy sessions.

• Maintain accurate, confidential case records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance your therapeutic skills.

• Advocate for clients' needs within the community while working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on supporting clients impacted by mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Within this population, you will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those facing homelessness and other socio-economic challenges. Your day-to-day interactions will include providing empathetic therapy sessions, assessing individual client needs, and ensuring clients feel heard and supported in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
