Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Adolescent Neuropsychology

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires two 16-hour shifts from 3 PM to 7 AM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our Adolescent Neuropsych Unit, which primarily accommodates nonverbal autism patients. The unit is high acuity, and we prefer candidates with experience in the neuropsych population.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adolescents with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and maintain treatment plans.
• Assist in behavioral management and intervention strategies.
• Work as a Charge RN as needed during assigned shifts without additional pay.
• Float to other units and age populations as necessary to meet facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland.
• BCLS certification required.
• Experience with Allscripts (Sunrise) charting system preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
