Transactional & Litigation Paralegal – Corporate & Civil Litigation
Monmouth County, NJ | NYC-Based Firm with Local Presence
Full-Time | In-Office (No Remote/Hybrid)
About the Role
Our growing Monmouth County, NJ office—an extension of a well-established NYC law firm—is seeking a detail-oriented entry to mid-level Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team.
This role is ideal for a candidate with 1–2 years of experience who is looking to build a strong foundation in corporate law, civil litigation, legal research, drafting, and case management within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will work directly with the Litigation, Foreclosure and Loss Mitigation Team on a variety of matters, gaining hands-on experience in corporate transactions, civil litigation support, legal technology, and document management.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys on corporate and litigation matters
- Assist in preparing internal memoranda, legal summaries, and reports
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents, contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials
- Perform redlining/blacklining and assist with document comparisons
- Review corporate entity documents, agreements, and litigation-related filings for consistency and accuracy
- Assist with document organization, version control, and file management
- Support attorneys with case management, court filings, discovery, and litigation deadlines
- Utilize legal technology and AI tools to support research and workflow efficiency
- Track deadlines and assist in managing multiple active matters
- Provide general support to the Managing Partner and senior staff as needed
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a law firm or legal environment
- Familiarity with legal research, drafting, and document review
- Experience supporting corporate matters or civil litigation preferred
- Basic experience with redlining/blacklining preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with document management systems a plus
- Interest in or exposure to AI tools and legal technology is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with corporate governance, entity formation, or transactional matters
- Experience supporting civil litigation matters, including discovery and court filings
- Bankruptcy and/or foreclosure experience is a plus
