Spine and Joint Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Roanoke, Virginia. This role primarily involves working with patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting, focusing on restoring mobility, enhancing functionality, and improving the quality of life for each individual. As an integral part of our practice, you will build meaningful relationships with patients, guiding them on their rehabilitation journey from initial assessment to full recovery.

We primarily serve individuals with private medical insurance, operating under a model that emphasizes personalized attention and tailored treatment plans.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing hands-on care to patients in our modern facility. You will be collaborating with a close-knit team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work hours are structured from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. The environment is both supportive and innovative, encouraging continuous professional growth and collaboration among staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individual goals and needs.
• Manage a patient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused, personalized treatment.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's unique situation, utilizing various treatment techniques.
• Provide effective therapeutic interventions focusing on enhancing range of motion, strength, and overall mobility.
• Educate patients on self-care strategies to optimize their recovery and reduce dependency on medication or surgical procedures.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs addressing the specific requirements of each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Document all patient care services thoroughly to maintain accurate and accessible medical records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient recovery.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes regularly and adjust care plans as necessary to align with patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population within our facility consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our aim is to empower patients to actively participate in their recovery, helping them regain independence and improve their physical abilities. The atmosphere fosters a patient-centered approach, adapting to various ages and levels of physical activity.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain a professional record without any disciplinary actions against your license.
• Exhibit strong knowledge and experience in manual therapy techniques.
• Demonstrate proficiency in creating and executing effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially WebPT, is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Experience in developing interdisciplinary treatment approaches is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work with team members and patients alike.

Compensation and Benefits
