Melavex is recruiting on behalf of an established industrial company looking to strengthen its commercial performance and accelerate its next stage of growth.

We're looking for a Sales Director who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and helping others succeed. Someone who can turn commercial ideas into action while staying closely involved in winning business.

This is a player-coach role with the opportunity to combine your own sales activity with team leadership and a direct contribution to the company's wider strategy.

The Role

  • Take an active role in securing new customers and developing new markets.
  • Lead, support and develop the sales team to improve performance.
  • Build a clear commercial plan with measurable goals and accountability.
  • Manage key customer relationships and negotiate high-value opportunities.
  • Identify where the business can expand its reach and grow revenue.
  • Partner with senior leadership to help shape the company's commercial direction.

What You'll Bring

  • A track record of growing revenue and leading successful sales teams.
  • The ability to coach others while delivering results through your own sales activity.
  • Strong negotiation skills and sound commercial judgement.
  • The confidence to introduce fresh ideas and turn them into practical improvements.
  • The ambition to take ownership and make a visible contribution to the business.

Your sector background is flexible. Industrial experience is not required. We're interested in sales leaders from any industry who can bring proven commercial ability and a willingness to learn a new market.

The Package

  • Position: Sales Director (Player-Coach)
  • Location: USA – Fully Remote
  • Base Salary: $200,000–$275,000
  • Additional Earnings: Commission + Performance Bonus
  • Industry: Industrial – Open to candidates from all sectors
