Our client has immediate starts for motivated professionals to work as a direct support professional in the Springfield, VA. SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY Provide everyday support to individuals with IDD Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed. Ensure proper diet and nutrition, and assist with feeding if required. Follow individualized behavior support plans to address specific needs and challenges. Use positive reinforcement and behavioral techniques to manage and improve behavior. Assist with the development and maintenance of life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting. Provide educational and recreational activities that promote personal growth and independence. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the group home environment. Assist with household chores such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individuals' progress, incidents, and any changes in their condition. Advocate for the needs and preferences of individuals, ensuring their rights and choices are respected. Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster a positive and supportive environment. CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed Valid Driver's License CPR/First Aid Certification DTG ADVANTAGES Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health and special education.
