As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry in Shepherdsville, KY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site‑specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points, check badges and/or identification, and help to control authorized access to the location in accordance with client‑directed policies. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and document security‑related concerns through required reporting processes. Support visitor management activities by assisting with sign‑in procedures, directing guests, and communicating access‑related information with site contacts and Allied Universal personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify security‑related issues, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
