Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required
• Master’s degree in Social Work is preferred and highly valued
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement is required
• Experience working in a school setting or with children/adolescents is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to advocate for students and connect families with community resources

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students, including individual and group counseling
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents/guardians to address students’ academic, emotional, and social needs
• Develop and implement intervention strategies for at-risk students
• Participate in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies
• Provide crisis intervention and case management services as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies and regulations
