Key Responsibilities\n

• Serve as a primary clinician, conducting individual assessments and therapy sessions for clients experiencing symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.

• Engage collaboratively with healthcare professionals, facilitating a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care that includes integrating treatment plans and ongoing evaluations.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to conduct thorough screenings and assessments, ensuring that clients receive appropriate interventions based on their specific needs.

• Design and implement comprehensive care plans that link clients with necessary support services, focusing on holistic treatment and recovery.

• Manage a diverse caseload, providing individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the unique circumstances of each client.

• Monitor the clinical progress of clients, ensuring timely service delivery, evaluations, and adherence to discharge criteria.

• Participate in quality improvement committees within the agency to enhance service delivery and develop best practice protocols.

• Provide on-call coverage as necessary and assist with crisis intervention during program hours.

• Maintain meticulous documentation and timely completion of treatment reports and other necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with under-served populations in the Oakland area, addressing mental health needs with sensitivity to the diverse cultural backgrounds of clients. Your role will encompass providing support to individuals with varying levels of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.

• Must hold a valid LCSW license in the state of California.

• Strong understanding of best practices in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, particularly for diverse populations.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• Proficient organizational skills to manage case load and documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
