We invite you to join us in this transformation. Job DescriptionThe Corporate Strategy Manager, Bose Labs, is the strategy lead embedded within Bose-X. Bose-X defines and advances an enterprise-wide research agenda by identifying and prioritizing technology investments that can translate into high-potential future opportunities.This role sits at the intersection of advanced research and enterprise strategy, with direct exposure to senior leadership. You will partner with research leaders, business units, Corporate Development, and executives to evaluate investment opportunities, answer critical strategy questions, and recommend where to build, buy, partner, scale, pivot, or stop.Bose is evolving its research agenda toward the Intelligent Edge, with focus areas including perceptual intelligence, adaptive sensing, orchestration, and security. These domains will power future platforms, technologies, and businesses.The ideal candidate is technically fluent, experienced in strategy and innovation, and thrives in ambiguous, early-stage environments.Key Responsibilities1. Lead Bose-X Strategy DevelopmentDefine and prioritize strategic initiatives across research domains, emerging technologies, markets, and ecosystemsLead strategy projects end-to-end with speed, rigor, and clear structureTranslate technical concepts into testable commercial value hypothesesEvaluate strategic options and guide decision-making based on customer value, market reality, and Bose advantageFacilitate cross-functional alignment through workshops and working sessionsDevelop executive-ready materials that distill complex inputs into clear recommendationsPartner with Corporate Development on inorganic opportunitiesBuild business cases, including market sizing, financial models, scenarios, and risk assessment2. Drive Portfolio Discipline and Investment DecisionsServe as the link between Bose-X and enterprise portfolio strategyRepresent enterprise strategy in portfolio prioritization and investment discussionsDefine success metrics, learning milestones, KPIs, and investment gates for early-stage initiativesSupport portfolio reviews with clear, data-driven recommendations (advance, pivot, partner, pause, or stop)3. Build Market, Technology, and Competitive InsightConduct primary and secondary research across markets, customers, competitors, and ecosystemsAct as a go-to SME on emerging trends in edge AI, physical AI, and adjacent spacesPartner with insights teams to shape research priorities aligned to Bose-X needs4. Build Cross-Functional InfluenceDevelop strong relationships across research, product, commercial, and corporate teamsIncorporate diverse perspectives to strengthen recommendations and drive alignmentPartner with Corporate Development, Partnerships, and FP&A on investment decisions5. Advance Strategy for Early-Stage InnovationBring structure and rigor to ambiguous, front-end innovation work without slowing learningEstablish repeatable approaches to translate research and external signals into strategic options and business opportunitiesQualifications5+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, venture strategy, or technology innovation environmentsProven experience in innovation, new ventures, research commercialization, or early-stage business buildingAbility to lead ambiguous problems from framing through recommendation with minimal oversightStrong analytical skills (market sizing, business cases, financial modeling, scenario analysis)Customer-focused and commercially grounded; able to distinguish compelling technology from real value creationTechnically fluent and comfortable working across scientific and business audiencesExcellent executive communication skillsStrong influencing and stakeholder management skills without formal authorityHands-on mindset; willing to lead, challenge, and buildBachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred#LI-SS1At Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents! Our compensation is thoughtfully tailored to your skills, experience, education, and location, and goes beyond base salary. The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $151,000-$207,550.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
