Benefits and Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the daily management of employee benefit plans, including health coverage, retirement savings, disability, life insurance, and additional benefit offerings.
• Coordinate the yearly benefits enrollment process, working with providers, communicating plan options to employees, and ensuring enrollment information is accurate.
• Manage benefits information in the HRIS platform, review data transfers with insurance and retirement providers, prepare reports, and streamline administrative processes.
• Ensure benefit programs meet federal and state requirements by overseeing compliance documentation, regulatory reporting, and audits.
• Coordinate employee leave requests, including FMLA and workplace accommodations, while providing guidance on benefits, eligibility, and company policies.
• Supervise payroll activities, assist with processing when needed, address pay discrepancies, and support managers with employee timekeeping practices.
• Work closely with the HR team on new hire orientation, employee separations, policy updates, wellness programs, and other HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HR and benefits administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience managing employee benefits programs, including Open Enrollment and benefits compliance.
• Working knowledge of payroll processes and administration.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and benefits regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
