Turning Leaf Mind Rehab Consultation, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still ensuring access to essential support for clients. As part of a dedicated outpatient clinic team, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary group of professionals, including psychiatrists and support staff, to provide integrated care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify appropriate treatment paths.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and resilience.
• Provide evidence-based interventions, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to guide clients in processing trauma, acquiring coping skills, and building emotional strength.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to patient health.
• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance is available when needed.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings while engaging in ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care.
• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult clients who are navigating the effects of trauma and related mental health challenges. Our patients often face complex emotional landscapes, requiring sensitivity and expertise in trauma-related disorders. By fostering a supportive atmosphere, you will help guide clients toward healing and personal empowerment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within California is required.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience following licensure, working with trauma-informed practices.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress scenarios and effectively manage crisis situations.
• Competency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• Team-oriented with an inclination for collaboration across disciplines.

Preferred Experience

Experience with specific trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be highly regarded. Candidates who have delivered services in a community health setting and have familiarity with outcome measurement tools are encouraged to apply, as they would bring valuable insights to our practice.

Compensation and Benefits
