Our mission is to provide comprehensive mental health services that are integrated with medical care, focusing particularly on patients with co-occurring conditions such as autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use disorders. Our collaborative approach leverages a team of health professionals to ensure holistic support for our patients.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily in a remote setting, supporting our outpatient office. You will have access to a fully integrated electronic health record system to streamline your documentation and communication processes with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that take into account patients' medical histories and current conditions affecting their mental wellness.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both psychiatric needs and accompanying medical conditions, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group therapy workshops that foster personal growth and resilience in patients.
• Actively collaborate with medical professionals, participating in interdisciplinary care meetings to coordinate patient treatment plans and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Deliver crisis intervention services and provide support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning.
• Educate patients about the interplay between mental health and physical health, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding their well-being.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring precise record-keeping of patient interactions and treatment plans.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in integrated care practices, contributing insights during team discussions and development workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting individuals facing diverse and often complex mental health challenges. You will work with a range of clients, including those with chronic pain, substance use issues, and other medical conditions that impact their mental health. Your empathetic approach will be essential in helping clients navigate their treatment journeys in a supportive and understanding environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Demonstrated ability to address mental health needs, particularly in individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building trusting relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and familiarity with digital communication tools.
• Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in an interdisciplinary setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an integrated health care setting is highly desirable, particularly in outpatient therapy.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities appropriate for diverse patient backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we are offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000 to welcome you to our team.
