Bilingual Client Service Representative, Outreach (English/Spanish)

Oakland, CA

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Assignment Length: 3 Months

Bilingual Required: English and Spanish

 

Are you passionate about helping your community and making a difference in people's lives? We are seeking a compassionate and outgoing  Bilingual Client Service Representative, Outreach to educate and assist individuals with their healthcare coverage options.

 

In this role, you'll work directly with community members, local organizations, and healthcare partners to ensure beneficiaries understand their available health plan options and receive the support they need throughout the enrollment process.

 

Local candidates in the Santa Cruz area are strongly preferred.

 

What You'll Do

As a Bilingual Client Service Representative, you will serve as a trusted resource for community members by providing education, enrollment assistance, and outstanding customer service.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct face-to-face outreach with individuals and community groups
• Present healthcare plan options during group presentations and one-on-one meetings
• Assist beneficiaries with enrollment, disenrollment, medical exemptions, and waiver requests
• Explain healthcare benefits and available managed care options
• Build positive relationships with county agencies, community organizations, and healthcare partners
• Participate in community events, health fairs, and outreach activities
• Enter enrollment information and maintain accurate records within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Process enrollment documentation accurately and timely
• Provide status updates regarding enrollments, exemptions, and waivers
• Support new team members through guidance and training
• Review program materials and recommend process improvements
• Meet established productivity and quality goals
• Travel throughout Santa Cruz County and surrounding areas as needed

 

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, including speaking, reading, and writing
• Valid California driver's license with current auto insurance
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned county
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

 

Preferred

• Six months or more of customer service, human services, healthcare, or public-facing experience
• Community outreach, public speaking, teaching, marketing, or presentation experience
• Experience working with diverse and underserved populations
• Knowledge of public assistance or healthcare programs

• Attendance at community events and health fairs as needed
