Work Environment This position is based remotely, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while ensuring you can serve clients effectively from a comfortable and secure environment. Our team utilizes advanced electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to streamline client management and documentation, ensuring that you can focus more on client care and less on administrative tasks. You will join a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, fostering an environment of support and shared knowledge in mental health treatment. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough preliminary assessments of clients via interviews and psychological evaluations to establish comprehensive treatment plans. Develop individualized treatment strategies, including recovery and intervention plans, aimed at addressing the distinct needs of clients across individual, couple, family, and group settings. Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques that promote mental wellness and personal growth. Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to promote effective outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to design and implement holistic intervention strategies while ensuring communication remains fluid for optimal patient care. Follow up with healthcare providers to coordinate care for clients requiring hospitalization or additional support services. Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers, helping them navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges related to their loved one's mental health. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clients range from children to adults, including those facing anxieties, depression, relationship issues, and trauma-related anxiety. As a counselor at Eleanor Behavioral Health Center, you will engage with a varied demographic, each requiring unique therapeutic approaches. Our commitment is to treat all clients with respect and provide a safe space for healing, enabling them to achieve their mental health objectives. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Colorado. A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an empathetic and client-centered approach. Preferred Experience Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, including working with diverse populations. Familiarity with electronic health records, particularly with platforms like AVATAR. Experience treating clients with co-occurring disorders, such as substance abuse and mental health challenges. Knowledge of best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is highly advantageous. Understanding of pharmacological treatments and their impact on mental health, particularly medications prescribed by specialists.
