Work Environment This position is remote, allowing you to create an efficient and comfortable workspace that suits your personal needs. You will have the flexibility to manage your schedule effectively while adhering to a standard workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Utilizing telehealth technology, you will connect with clients via virtual platforms, making mental health services accessible regardless of geographical barriers. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial evaluations to understand each patient's unique mental health needs, establishing tailored treatment plans that respect their individual circumstances. Engage with patients in active listening, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages open dialogue about their mental and emotional challenges. Diagnose mental or emotional disorders and create actionable coping strategies to empower patients in their healing journeys. Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, based on observed outcomes and feedback. Educate clients and their families about effective stress and trauma coping mechanisms, equipping them with tools for resilience. Collaborate with external social and medical agencies to ensure that patients receive holistic support and access to necessary services. Participate in continuing education programs to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification and stay current with best practices in mental health care. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients who often face emotional and psychological hurdles as they recover. This population can include individuals who have experienced physical trauma, abuse, or significant emotional distress. By addressing their unique experiences through customized treatment approaches, you will help guide them toward recovery and personal growth. Qualifications A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in New York. A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field. At least three years of experience working specifically with trauma patients. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, facilitating effective documentation and communication. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for developing rapport with clients remotely. Preferred Experience Experience with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR), enhancing operational efficiency. A background in developing and implementing stress management and coping programs. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
