This individual will own the monthly close and core accounting operations while helping shape the processes, systems, and standards that support continued growth. The role is designed to grow into an Accounting Manager position within 12 to 24 months for the right person.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and build the monthly close process, from checklist to delivered financialsPrepare accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements on a consistent monthly cadenceMaintain supporting schedules and documentation for all material entriesBuild channel-level and operational reporting that supports decision-makingManage revenue recognition across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channelsOwn Accounts Receivable from start to finishOwn inventory accounting and COGS, including landed cost trackingPartner with operations to maintain accurate inventory and margin reportingManage Balance Sheet reconciliationsOversee bank feed coding, reconciliations, and GL postingsMaintain the chart of accounts and general ledger integrityDaily AP processingAccounting Point of Contact for customers, vendors, and employeesQualifications5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a senior positionPublic Accounting experience is a huge plusCPA or CPA-eligible preferredBachelor's degree in AccountingExperience within consumer, retail, apparel, or inventory-driven businesses strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of US GAAP and accrual-basis accountingStrong working knowledge of Accounts ReceivableProficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP a plusHighly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environmentStrong ownership mentality around deadlines, accuracy, and documentationWhy This RoleOpportunity to partner with leadership and own the accounting foundation of a high-growth brandHuge potential for growthHands on experience building and scaling the accounting function at a high-growth brandAn environment that values accountability, ownership, and getting things doneBenefits + PerksMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with employer matchPaid parental leavePaid vacation and sick timeGenerous employee discountAnnual company offsites
