Exceed Healthcare is seeking a Human Resources Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for its HR department. This role oversees all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, learning and development, development and execution of policies, and HR operations. The HR Director partners closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership :

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization’s overall goals and long-term growth.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership in areas such as workforce planning, talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
• Align HR practices with organizational mission, culture, and operational needs.

Talent Acquisition & Management :

• Oversee recruitment and selection to ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract, onboard, retain, and develop top talent, including training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations during recruitment and selection processes.

Employee Relations & Engagement :

• Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers regarding HR issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive work culture by promoting open communication, teamwork, and employee recognition programs.
• Lead employee engagement surveys and initiatives to improve overall employee satisfaction, morale, and retention.

Compensation & Benefits Administration :

• Develop and administer competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent while maintaining cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Regularly review and benchmark compensation and benefits against market standards and recommend program improvements.

HR Operations & Compliance :

• Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS/reporting, record-keeping, and policy documentation for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Develop, communicate, and monitor HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency, fairness, and legal compliance across the organization.
• Remain informed of changes to relevant employment laws and update policies and practices as required.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Health Administration, or related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial HR role.
• Advanced knowledge of labor/employment law, compensation and benefits, talent management, conflict resolution, and HR technology (e.g., HRIS, LMS)
• Experience with HR policy development, compliance monitoring, and organizational change management.

Certifications:

• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred

• In-depth understanding of employment law, HR best practices, diversity/equity/inclusion, and labor relations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
