Assembler II (DS 300)

Job Overview The AssemblerII performs both routine and semi‑routine assembly tasks which include sub‑assemblies, assembling some final products, packaging, water‑spider inventory movement support, and quality checks of parts. Job Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine assembly tasks independently using standard work assembly drawings (SWADs). Assemble electrical and mechanical components and additional routine sub‑assemblies. Package products while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Facilitate workflow for inventory movement (stocking bins, pallets, cardboard, general material handling). Build final product and support work with area manufacturing engineers (MEs). Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, testing equipment, fixtures, and high‑voltage dielectric testing equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines. Follow work and test instructions to perform tasks and interpret test results when necessary. Troubleshoot and repair assemblies as needed, maintaining established safety, quality, and productivity standards. Train less experienced Assemblers during the learning phase. Qualifications Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English (written and oral). Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to troubleshoot problems and operate required hand tools and fixtures. Ability to interpret standard work assembly drawings (SWAD), production order paperwork, test instructions, and quality checklists. Typically 1–2years of manufacturing experience. Physical and Environmental Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise maneuver up to 35pounds on a routine basis. Must be capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and occasionally climbing steps. Work may involve exposure to chemicals, noise, vibration, and dust; requires appropriate personal protective equipment (eyewear, hearing protection, foot protection, etc.).
