About This Role The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Highlights Pay: $64.85/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Department/Unit: Primary Care SC - ISM Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient engagement actions. Initiate service recovery for patients and family members who have concerns. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN Program with a graduation date within the year. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process. Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Saver (BCLS) certification required. NRP certification (Labor and Delivery, NICU). ACLS certification (various departments). PALS certification (various departments).
