Paint Prepper

Position: Paint Prepper
Classification: Full-Time, Regular
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM, with potential overtime on Fridays


About the Position
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our production team. The Paint Prepper is responsible for preparing sign faces and cabinets for the painting process and may assist with sign fabrication and letter edging as needed.
This is a hands-on production role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities
Prepare sign faces, cabinets, and other sign components for painting.
Rivet and assemble sign components as required.
Mask and sand surfaces to ensure they are properly prepared for painting.
Assist with sign face fabrication and edging of letters as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Duties and responsibilities may be modified, expanded, or reassigned as business needs require.


Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical training or related experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Ability to work efficiently in a hands-on production environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform precision work requiring manual dexterity, coordination, and stability.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand, move, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
