Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a creative, qualified, and innovative Social Science (Economics Teacher) for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Advanced Placement Economics. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in economics or similar social sciences field. Master’s degree preferred. FDOE Teaching certificate in grades 9-12, temporary or professional required; or in the process of acquiring certification. Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in high school levels desired. Demonstrated self- starter with technology skills in use of digital books, interactive classroom technology such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Database, and Spreadsheet management, and digital gradebooks. Excellent oral and written English communications skills, including clear speaking voice. Good spelling and grammar required. Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred. Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
