Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Some weekend shifts required.

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with experience in high-risk antepartum and emergency situations. The nurse will provide care in a Level II Trauma Center, assisting in labor management, delivery, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-risk laboring patients including those with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiple gestations.
• Perform inductions and augmentations using appropriate medical protocols.
• Assist during deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections.
• Utilize fetal monitoring systems and maintain intrauterine pressure catheters as necessary.
• Provide education and support for new mothers, including breastfeeding assistance.
• Respond to maternal emergencies and administer appropriate interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN license (WA or Compact) required at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of charge experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic.
