Overview Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) in Templeton, California. This travel assignment begins August 17, 2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,997 to $2,029, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: short-term acute care hospital. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,997–$2,029 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 8 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts Start date: August 17, 2026 Setting: PACU in a short-term acute care hospital Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU, including airway, breathing, circulation, vital signs, and pain control. Administer medications per physician orders and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate interventions. Document assessments, care, and outcomes in the electronic health record (Epic); communicate patient status to anesthesia and surgical teams and coordinate handoffs. Determine readiness for PACU discharge and facilitate safe transfer to inpatient units or discharge as appropriate. Uphold patient safety, infection control, and equipment safety; ensure proper use and maintenance of PACU resources. Collaborate with multidisciplinary perioperative teams to ensure smooth, safe perioperative care and patient throughput. Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in the state of assignment (California) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU or related perioperative nursing experience Epic EMR experience Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced PACU environment Willingness to participate in a travel assignment for the 8-week duration Benefits and Support Guaranteed 40 hours per week Travel assignment with dedicated support throughout the assignment 24/7 recruiter and travel support Fast credentialing process Extension opportunities for continued placement beyond the initial assignment Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
