Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation facility, you will work onsite within a vibrant and collaborative team setting. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing a structured routine that balances professional responsibilities with personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the physical abilities and limitations of up to 7 patients per shift by conducting thorough evaluations and developing tailored therapy plans.
• Design individualized rehabilitation programs that focus on enhancing strength, coordination, balance, and mobility.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to facilitate recovery and promote pain management.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families to provide updates on progress, address concerns, and highlight ways they can support the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records to comply with institutional policies and regulatory requirements, utilizing our EMR system effectively.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapist will work predominantly with patients in a skilled nursing setting, including those recovering from surgeries, strokes, and debilitating injuries. These patients often face unique challenges related to aging or medical conditions, requiring compassionate and individualized care strategies to help them regain functionality and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A current and active Physical Therapist License in New York State.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate degree in the field is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a rehabilitation environment, ideally in skilled nursing or similar settings.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with geriatric populations or individuals recovering from acute medical conditions.
• Proficiency in utilizing physical therapy equipment and proficiency with EMR systems for documentation.
• Certifications in additional therapy modalities such as Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) or the McKenzie Method are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
