Lead Teacher, Junior High

City Garden Montessori School is hiring a Lead Teacher (Junior High) for the 2026–27 school year.

We’re looking for an educator deeply committed to whole-child learning, equity, and building meaningful relationships with students and families. Montessori certification is welcome but not required — we’ll support the right candidate in obtaining certification through our Montessori Institute.

Ideal candidates bring:

• Experience teaching, ideally in public or urban school settings

• A strong commitment to anti-bias/anti-racist education

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• A passion for nurturing compassionate, critical thinkers

Compensation

$45,000 to $62,000 per year, dependent on State Certification, Montessori Certification, Education and Experience, as well as benefits including:
