Pay: $27 - $30/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a high-level Operations Support Specialist to support production planning and execution in a fast-paced machine shop environment. Due to my clients explosive growth they are looking for a Operational Support Specialist
This is not a back-office role—you’ll be the bridge between planning and production , ensuring jobs move efficiently, materials are ready, and bottlenecks are eliminated before they become problems.

What You’ll Do
You’ll play a critical role in keeping production on track by:
Building Bills of Materials (BOMs) and defining equipment, labor, and time requirements
Monitoring production throughput and reporting performance
Prioritizing jobs to meet customer deadlines and delivery targets
Working directly with shop floor teams to troubleshoot issues (materials, staffing, machine downtime)
Partnering with management, engineering, and quality to resolve production challenges
Supporting purchasing with material forecasting and demand planning
Leading contract review meetings and driving process improvements
Managing production documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 standards
Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency

What We’re Looking For
5+ years of production planning or operations support experience (machine shop or manufacturing preferred)
Strong communicator who can work across production, engineering, and leadership teams
Comfortable balancing office planning work with hands-on shop floor interaction
Proven ability to problem-solve in real time in a fast-moving environment
High level of organization and attention to detail
Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central is a plus)
