Insurance Litigation Attorney

Job Description

The Law Office of Julia J. McKee is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance Litigation Attorney to represent clients in insurance-related disputes and litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills, along with a commitment to providing attentive and effective legal representation.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes and litigation.
Review insurance policies, claims, correspondence, and related documentation.
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Develop case strategies and evaluate legal and factual issues.
Communicate with clients, insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trial proceedings.
Manage assigned cases and monitor important deadlines.
Negotiate settlements when appropriate and advocate for clients' interests.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
Stay current on applicable Florida insurance laws, regulations, and court decisions.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Experience handling insurance litigation or related civil litigation matters preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Excellent case-management and organizational abilities.
Strong attention to detail and professional judgment.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals.
