Details Level III high-risk perinatal unit within a Pavilion for Women and Children offering comprehensive maternity services and Level II NICU support 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 7-bay triage area Facility manages 200-300 deliveries per month Goal staffing ratios include 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum Triage staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift, supported by surgical techs, CNAs, delivering providers, CRNAs, and Health Unit Coordinators Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Weekend shifts required Floating to Postpartum required No call requirements Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required, following AWHONN standards Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced Epic EMR experience required Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) skill is a hard requirement Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products required Experience in facilities with 200 deliveries preferred; candidates with 100-200 deliveries experience will be considered Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Additional Information Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, antepartum, and postpartum stages including high-risk pregnancy management Assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and support neonatal care in the delivery room Manage medication administration including antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and Terbutaline Provide postpartum care including couplet care, fundus/lochia/perineum assessment, and breastfeeding support Care for patients with conditions such as HELLP syndrome, pre-eclampsia, preterm labor, and postpartum hemorrhage Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses Scrubs of any color permitted except reddish orange Facility-paid parking provided Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower bill rate Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities within the same health system American Traveler Job ID P-744691.
