Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity
Join a dynamic Emergency Medicine team that emphasizes collaboration, efficiency, and professional development. Our organization is on the lookout for Emergency Medicine physicians, as well as Family Medicine physicians with fellowship training in Emergency Medicine, to become part of a flourishing department that prioritizes teamwork, predictable schedules, and evidence-based practices.
Position OverviewThis role is situated in the Greater Binghamton area, where you will benefit from robust Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support and have the chance to interact with residents and students. Full-time positions consist of 13 shifts within a 4-week cycle, featuring a combination of 10- and 12-hour shifts that rotate through days, nights, and weekends.
- Collaborate with a team of approximately 18 physicians and 8 PAs in the Emergency Department, with overlapping APP coverage.
- Handle around 75,000 annual Emergency Department visits across two locations, with a total of 66 ED beds and 180–210 daily visits systemwide.
The Greater Binghamton area is undergoing a research-driven revitalization, largely propelled by Binghamton University, which is fostering growth in healthcare, technology, and education. This positions the region as a center for innovation and talent cultivation. The emerging Battery-NY Tech Hub in nearby Johnson City is making strides in sustainable energy storage research, further enhancing the area's future prospects.
Ongoing revitalization efforts in downtown Binghamton have introduced scenic riverwalks, cultural venues, and preserved historic districts, all of which contribute to an improved quality of life while retaining the unique character of the area.
