Senior Instrumentation Specialist
Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins seeks a Senior Instrumentation Specialist to provide technical leadership on laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and compliance in regulated environments. The role involves troubleshooting complex instruments, developing validation documentation, mentoring staff, and driving process improvements across analytical testing operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance, calibration, qualification, and repair of laboratory instrumentation
- Ensure equipment remains validated and compliant through preventative maintenance and testing
- Develop, execute, and document instrument validations and technical assessments per GMP/GxP requirements
- Provide technical mentorship and training to laboratory and engineering personnel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment reliability improvements and process optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Information Technology, or related technical field
- 8+ years of laboratory instrumentation support in regulated environments
- Strong expertise in instrument calibration, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience developing and executing validation protocols and qualification documentation
- Proven ability to investigate non-routine issues and implement corrective actions
- Technical writing experience for procedures, investigations, and documentation
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, GxP, or equivalent regulated laboratory standards
