Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:30, including weekend and holiday rotations.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide high-level care to multiple long-term patients, focusing on cardiac telemetry and critical monitoring. Candidates must be proficient in managing various patient care activities, including EKG tests, peripheral line care, and titrating drips, while adhering to a patient ratio of 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and perform EKG interpretations.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to various Cone Health campuses as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of RN experience with a focus on Progressive Care or similar settings is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Cardiac telemetry experience and proficiency in the management and interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential.
• Experience with peripheral and PICC line management is required.
• Active RN license in the state is necessary.
