From helping someone regain independence with activities of daily living to improving coordination, strength, safety, and confidence, your work can have a lasting impact on a patient's life.What You'll DoImplement individualized treatment plans under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and activities of daily living.Help patients improve strength, coordination, mobility, independence, and safety.Provide education and training to patients and caregivers.Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.Maintain accurate and timely documentation.Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary care planning.Collaborate with nursing, therapy, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.Create a positive, encouraging environment that motivates patients to reach their goals.Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal requirements.What We're Looking ForCurrent COTA certification through NBCOT and license in good standing.Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.Geriatric, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience is a plus—but we're excited to meet motivated COTAs who want to grow with us!Join a Team That Makes a DifferenceAt Highland Care Center, you're not just filling a position—you're becoming part of a team that helps people regain independence, reach their goals, and live their best lives.If you're looking for a COTA position where you can grow professionally, develop meaningful relationships with your patients, and work with a team that takes pride in delivering excellent care, we want to meet you!
