Position Type: Student Support - Classified/ Crossing Guard Date Posted: 6/22/2026 Location: Gateway Polytechnic Academy JOB GOAL To assist children safely through street intersections and to monitor vehicle traffic. QUALIFICATIONS High School education preferred. Able to lift required amounts. Experience working with children. Work harmoniously with children. Ability to communicate with teachers and parents. Good physical condition with emphasis on sight and hearing. First aide training preferred. Must pass a background clearance Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 188 Days; 9 Months COMPENSATION Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position BENEFITS As per QCUSD District policy REPORTS TO Principal HOURS 10 hours per week - Monday-Friday 7:15 a.m.-8:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.-3:15 p.m. CLASSIFICATION Hourly, Non-exempt PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Places traffic signs where necessary. Walks students through crosswalk where necessary. Monitors student use of line crosswalks. Reports violators, both pedestrians and vehicles. Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rules. Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities. Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.
