Representative Role OverviewA leading middle-market investment bank may seek an Investment Origination Analyst to support senior bankers in identifying, evaluating, and developing new investment opportunities. These roles are ideal for candidates who enjoy market research, client outreach, and strategic deal analysis , while contributing to the bank’s growth pipeline.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities across sectors
Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify potential clients and deals
Prepare client-facing materials including pitch books, investment proposals, and presentations
Build and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) to support investment assessments
Support the due diligence process and assist in managing internal deal workflows
Collaborate with senior bankers to track deal pipeline and strategic initiatives
Maintain databases and CRM tools to monitor origination activity and client engagement
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
Interest in investment origination, deal sourcing, and relationship management
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in banking, consulting, corporate finance, or investment analysis is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools
