CNC Milling Machinist

CNC Milling MachinistWe are working with a client company in the Chicago Metro Region seeking a CNC Milling Machinist (multiple shifts). This position will offer regular overtime with a growing company that has been in business for over 100 years! Prior experience working as a CNC Milling Machinist is required.Responsibilities:Set up and operate manual or CNC milling machinesRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&TLoad raw materials and secure fixtures or toolingSelect and install cutting tools, inserts, and offsetsProgram or edit CNC machine programs (often G-code)Monitor machine operations and make adjustments for precisionMeasure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipmentMaintain tight tolerances and surface finishesPerform troubleshooting and basic machine maintenanceEnsure quality standards and production goals are metSkills:Blueprint readingGD&T knowledgePrecision measurementTooling and offsetsG-code editing/programmingProblem-solving/troubleshootingTight tolerance machiningProduction machining experienceBenefits:Extensive overtime offered but not required.Work with a company that has been in business for over a century and still growing!
