Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of Case Managers, Social Workers, and Social Work Coordinators, setting the tone for a department that operates with clarity and accountability. Build and manage monthly staffing plans, coordinating daily operations alongside the Case Management RN Lead to keep the department running smoothly. Own performance: conduct annual evaluations, coach staff through documentation and EPIC tool proficiency, and have the tough conversations directly when standards aren't being met. Partner with department leadership to manage and reconcile the budget, explaining variances with confidence in monthly meetings. Design and deliver education programs for physicians, case managers, and hospital staff based on audit findings and performance data. Champion compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and other state and federal regulations, serving as the go-to expert and liaison across departments. Represent Case Management in hospital-wide committees, bringing a case management lens to organizational decision-making. Guide CM/MD rounds and support staff through new unit launches or process changes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; ACMA certification preferred. Five or more years of RN experience, including at least two years in Case Management or a related area. Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of professional development; prior management experience preferred. Current Arizona RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. A structured, decisive leadership style, comfortable setting expectations, addressing performance issues directly, and following through on discipline when needed. Strong working knowledge of DRG, ICD-9, and CPT coding as it relates to physician documentation and insurance billing. About the Hospital: A well-established regional medical center with a case management department of roughly 50 FTEs, supporting a full continuum of patient care. Competitive starting salary of $90,000, with growth up to $130,000 based on experience. Manager Incentive Program (MIP) bonus of up to 10% of base salary annually, tied to performance metrics. $10,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with two or more years of management experience.
