About This Role The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Highlights Location: Edison, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Part-time, Days What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team. Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner. Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation. Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning technologies. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required. BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire. Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
