About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Current nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Teamwork approach to patient care Focus on patient safety Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO in the unit could possibly result in a cancellation and DNR. Required skills include teamwork and a focus on patient safety. Neuro experience is preferred. Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role is preferred. This is a neuro unit. Patient ratios are 1:6. Accepting night shifts of 36 or 48 hours. Maximum RTO is 7 days. Travelers will be required to float. There is a weekend requirement of 5-6 weekend shifts, which equates to every other weekend. Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Contract staff may also be preassigned to units as needed mid-contract. Patient diagnoses include general medicine with a focus on neuro. Unit systems include Pyxis and EPIC. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Candidates must meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff. All candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per job description. References can be pending at submission. Pre-start modules must be completed online before the start date.
