By centralizing these resources, FMG ensures consistency, efficiency, and allows each business to operate more effectively and focus entirely on its primary goals and the communities it serves.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe main function of this role is to perform daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks that support our Accounting Department, assisting with account receivables, account payables, data entry, and collection efforts in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.Utilize and maintain working knowledge of applicable accounting methods and procedures that are in keeping with accepted accounting principles.Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts receivable and payable data.Assist Accounts Payable Specialist to verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statementsDevelop and implement efficient filing systems for both physical and digital documentsIdentify and propose process improvements to streamline accounting proceduresProvide additional clerical and administrative support or projects as assigned.Maintain professional conduct and appearance, and confidentiality.Perform any other duties assigned by managementEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements2+ Accounting Experience or an associates degree in related fieldMust qualify and maintain a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardWorking knowledge of applicable accounting methods and procedures that are in keeping with generally accepted accounting principles.Minimum of two years' experience in business accounting and accounts payable.Minimum of two years' experience in QuickBooks and MicrosoftCritical thinking skills and problem solvingStrong mathematical and analytical skillsDetail-oriented professional with strong organizational skillsAdaptable and open to process improvementsMaintain consistent attendance and punctuality
