Structured Finance Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Structured Finance Associate to join its finance group in Miami, FL. The role focuses on transactions involving commercial‑mortgage backed securities (CMBS) and offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful work and career growth. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation. Draft well‑reasoned legal documents, including briefs and contracts. Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships with professionalism. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative transaction strategies. Participate in high‑level legal activities such as hearings and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents. Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills. Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work. Requirements At least 2 years of experience in a law firm setting. Experience in commercial real estate finance, CMBS, or structured finance preferred. AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred but not required. Education JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of Florida. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail and good business judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Strong organizational and management skills.
