Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery and Postpartum

Location: Wilson, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (Night) for Labor & Delivery; 07:00 - 19:00 (Day) for OB.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal care, including labor and delivery, and the ability to manage a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns during delivery and postpartum recovery.
Monitor fetal heart rates and manage labor medications as necessary.
Assist in surgical procedures, including circulating during cesarean sections.
Handle postpartum care and patient education for new families.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
Current RN licensure and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
Completed fetal monitoring class within the last 2 years.
