For more information, visit hormelfoods.com.Job PurposeTo gain real world experience by performing the duties of their full-time engineering counterparts, managing projects independently, offering sound technical and engineering advice for facilities performanceResponsibilitiesWill work in various departments and throughout the plant to:Identify opportunities for improvements by performing ergonomic job surveys, analyzing operations, reviewing job loads, and making recommendationsIdentify improvements to work methods by reviewing the methods and analyzing potential method/design changesAnalyze operations and create AutoCAD layoutsEvaluate downtimes and methods to increase efficiencyEvaluate, recommend and install new equipment and layoutsRequired QualificationsMust graduate in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028 and major in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferredDemonstrated leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this positionPossess a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spiritThis position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplaceApplicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visaApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employerMust be 18 years of age or older (all plant positions)Must be open to relocationAbout Our Internship ProgramThe Hormel Foods internship program is designed with your growth in mind. The co-op program duration is typically 6-8 months and can run from early January through early August OR late May through early December.HoursThis is a temporary, full-time, hourly position.
