Technical Lead

The Tech Lead position is somewhat different from the developer roles. For this position, private equity/private markets domain experience is considered a critical requirement. Candidates without experience in this space would generally not be considered. The ideal candidate would bring:

• Significant private equity/private markets experience, particularly within the back-office domain.
• Experience supporting functions such as fund accounting and valuation of private equity investments.
• Less emphasis on front-office functions such as trade execution or portfolio management.
• Strong technical expertise and experience building technology solutions within this domain.
• The ability to bridge the gap between the business and technology teams.
• Senior-level technical acumen and the ability to provide guidance around industry-standard architecture and solutions.

While the position is classified at the L4/Tech Lead level, formal people-leadership experience is not necessarily required. The primary need is someone who has "been there and done that" within the private equity technology space and can provide both hands-on technical contribution and subject-matter expertise. The ideal candidate would function somewhat like a technical consultant and team member—someone who can build solutions while also saying, "We have implemented this before, and this is the industry-standard approach for private equity." For this position, domain expertise is more important than AWS experience. The team can potentially work with a candidate on specific technology-stack requirements, but it would be difficult to train someone simultaneously on both AWS and the nuances of the private equity domain. Leadership experience would be considered a strong plus if the individual can demonstrate meaningful leadership impact, but it is not a mandatory requirement.
