Director of Operations at The Hiring Advisors, LLC The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a growing construction company in the Santa Ana area to hire a Controller. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing accounting operations, implementing policies, and managing a team. If you have an active CPA license and experience with percentage of completion accounting, please apply! Responsibilities: Oversee accounting for M&A activity, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close Lead the year-end audit process Work with other team members to ensure financial reporting is automated Ensure cash is managed appropriately with proper internal controls in place Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Reconcile and analyze GL accounts and bank statements Oversee monthly close process, schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations Support the team with key strategic initiatives Lead a broad range of ad-hoc projects focused on improving reporting quality Assist with the integration of acquisitions into the accounting and financial systems Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related major 5+ years of accounting experience 2+ years of public accounting experience is a plus Proven track record in a service-based industry (construction, engineering, design services, etc.) CPA license preferred Experience with Sage Intacct Strong accounting skills and ability to lead/process improvements This hybrid opportunity in Santa Ana offers a salary up to $200k + bonus and full benefits, including a 401k.
