Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Scientist I in Translational Medicine to support early-phase clinical operations, including vendor coordination, assay development, and project tracking. The role involves managing CRO partnerships, clinical protocols, and GxP compliance across therapeutic area activities.

Responsibilities

Support clinical operations for early-phase studies in coordination with Translational Medicine
Manage day-to-day vendor and CRO interactions, including assay development and validation
Track vendor contracts, budgets, timelines, and project deliverables using Smartsheet and Excel
Monitor vendor performance and escalate risks affecting quality, timelines, or budget
Maintain GxP-compliant documentation and support inspection readiness across operational activities

Requirements

BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 2+ years industry experience
MS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with some industry experience
PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with some industry experience
Experience supporting first-in-human or early-phase clinical studies
Experience coordinating with CROs and external laboratories for clinical work
Familiarity with GxP requirements and biomarker or bioanalytical operations
Strong project management skills and attention to operational detail

Compensation: $89,800–$123,000 base salary annually, plus 20% target bonus and equity participation
