Role Description The Media Sales Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Jackson, MS, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for identifying prospective clients, generating leads, and building a robust pipeline of advertising partners for New South Radio’s broadcast and digital platforms. Day-to-day activities include meeting with businesses, assessing their marketing needs, developing customized media proposals, and presenting solutions that align with their objectives. The consultant will manage existing accounts, ensure campaign execution, track performance, and provide regular reporting and recommendations to clients. The role also involves negotiating advertising packages, collaborating with internal teams on creative and scheduling, and maintaining accurate documentation in sales systems and CRM tools. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Media Sales and Sales, with a focus on advertising or broadcast media. Experience in Account Management, including maintaining long-term client relationships and managing campaigns. Ability to perform Lead Generation activities and prospecting to build and grow a client base. Strong Negotiation abilities to structure and close advertising agreements that meet client and company goals. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with reliable transportation for client meetings in the Jackson, MS area. Basic proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office or similar productivity software, and digital media platforms. Prior experience in media, advertising, or marketing sales is preferred but not mandatory.
