McIver Clinic has been a trusted leader in urological care in Jacksonville since 1921. With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we provide patient-centered care across a broad range of urological services.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our perioperative team. This position will support providers and clinical staff with patient preparation, room and procedure preparation, clinical documentation, and other patient-care activities.

Essential Job Functions

Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for evaluation by the provider.

Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and the reason for the patient's visit.

Prepare and organize procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies for in-office procedures in accordance with established infection-control protocols.

Assist physicians with examinations, minor office procedures, and other clinical duties within the scope of the role and applicable requirements.

Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards.

Maintain clean, organized, and appropriately stocked exam rooms and clinical work areas.

Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Provide professional and compassionate patient care while supporting a positive patient experience.

Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support the needs of the practice.

Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Current CPR certification required.

At least one year of medical office experience preferred.

Urology experience preferred but not required.

Experience with Allscripts or another electronic health record (EHR) system preferred.

Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Experience with KUB imaging is a plus, where applicable requirements are met.
